Mango leaves (MLs) are the potential source of minerals, viz. nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, iron, sodium, calcium, magnesium, and vitamins, viz. A, B, E, and C. A major bio-macromolecule present in mango leaves is protein. Protein acts as a building block of cell and also plays a major role in growth, maintenance, enzyme regulation, cell signaling, and also acts as biocatalyst.

Mangoes leaves are edible and are used in several cuisines for their unique taste. In fact, the small mango leaves are commonly used for making tea and herbal concoctions.
