Mangoes should be put into storage containers that are able to withstand stacking without becoming deformed and injuring fruits.
A wide range of storage temperature has been describe in various investigations on the storage of mango, but the most common safe storage temperature for mango is 12-13 °C for 2-3 weeks storage.
Controlled atmosphere in combination with an optimum storage temperature has been reported to prolong the shelf life and maintain fruit quality in mango.
Mango fruits as a whole or as slices can be stored in glass jars or cans, They should be subjected to freezing at -29°C and should be stored at 18°C in cold storage.
